Rollover on Highway 1 in Abbotsford Thursday morning may be connected to road-rage incident: AbbyPD

ABBOTSFORD – Police in Abbotsford say one person has been transported to hospital after a rollover on Highway 1 in Abbotsford Thursday morning, and it may be connected to a possible road-rage incident.

According to a statement from AbbyPD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker, police were called to a rollover collision on westbound Highway 1 near Atkinson Road at about 5:20 a.m. Thursday morning.

Sgt. Walker says first responders arrived to find a single vehicle that had rolled into the centre median of the highway. The driver was transported to hospital with non‑life‑threatening injuries.

Police say early indications suggest the collision may be connected to a possible road‑rage incident involving a second vehicle that left the scene. Sgt. Walker says the investigation is in its early stages, and officers are working with witnesses to identify the vehicle that did not remain on scene and may have been involved prior to the crash.
