Two arrested in Abbotsford as police seize drugs, cash and vehicle

ABBOTSFORD — Police in Abbotsford say two people were arrested following a theft investigation that led to the seizure of drugs, cash and a vehicle.

In a social media post, AbbyPD says officers were called to a theft in progress at about 6:20 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 5) at a business in the 1300 block of Sumas Way.

Plainclothes officers who attended spotted a woman who they suspected was hiding merchandise. According to police, she was arrested after leaving the store without paying, along with a suspected male accomplice.

During a search, officers found and seized about 175 grams of suspected methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin, along with $650 in cash and multiple cellphones. The vehicle the suspects were driving was also seized.
