CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack firefighters are poised to take on local police again this year in a fun-filled hockey game that raised nearly $7,000 for local charities in the inaugural event last year.

The Chilliwack Firefighters Charitable Society will present its 2nd annual Guns vs. Hoses hockey game on Saturday, March 28 from 5:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at the Chilliwack Coliseum. Tickets are just $10 per adult, kids 12 and under are free.

The inaugural event in March 2025 was a smashing success due to over 600 people in attendance and several key sponsors, including Save-On-Foods, Cohesive Mechanical and the entire Chilliwack Chiefs staff, Chilliwack Professional Firefighters wrote in a social media post.

“Also, a huge thank you to everyone who came out to support us at our Guns vs. Hoses hockey game on Saturday (March 22, 2025),” Chilliwack Professional Firefighters wrote on social media. “It was a great success with well over 600 people in attendance and we look forward to making it an annual spring break event! We were able to raise almost $7,000 for local charities in our community and we very much appreciate your support! We Hope to see you next year for an even bigger and better event!”

You can purchase your tickets here: https://www.eventbrite.ca/…/2nd-annual-guns-vs-hoses…

Tickets will also be available at the door, but firefighters do recommend purchasing through Eventbrite for smoother and faster entry into the building.

“We heard you last year and we have purchased 200 more pucks for our Chuck-a-Puck event and we have also added raffle prizes and a 50/50 draw!” firefighters said. “We look forward to seeing you all there for an even bigger and better event!”

All proceeds will be donated to local Chilliwack charities. Chilliwack residents are more than welcome to reach out to the Chilliwack Firefighters Association if they’d like to donate. Please e-mail cpffcharitablesociety@gmail.com with any questions you may have.

This year’s event sponsors include Save-On-Foods, Cohesive Mechanical, Fluxx Cycle House, Acme Electrical Ltd., and Inline Fencing.
