Construction underway for 56-unit housing project in Hope
HOPE — Construction is well underway for a supportive housing project in Hope that was initially introduced nearly four years ago.
BC Housing, in partnership with the District of Hope, Fraser Health and the Hope and Area Transition Society (HATS), is building a modular 56-unit housing development that also includes 15 shelter beds and 15 extreme weather response spaces at 1275 7th Avenue, near the Fraser Canyon Hospital.
Hope Council approved an Official Community Plan amendment and rezoning for the site in October 2022.
The supportive housing units will include self-contained studio homes, long-term housing options, hot meals and more.
