Foul play suspected in suspicious death of 43-year-old B.C. man on Christmas Day
LAKE COUNTRY — Members of the B.C. RCMP Major Crime Unit have taken over an investigation after a man was found deceased on Christmas night in a small city northeast of Kelowna.
According to a statement from E Division/B.C. RCMP Communication Services, Lake Country RCMP members responded to the 16000 block of Gatzke Road in Lake Country on Dec. 25, shortly before 9:30 p.m. When police arrived, they learned that 43-year-old Joseph Robert McCook was deceased and that foul play is suspected. As a result, the B.C. RCMP Major Crime Unit (MCU) has taken control of the investigation.
Police have released a photo of Joseph McCook to further their investigation, and police are looking for public assistance in determining the circumstances that led to Joseph’s death. Anyone with information that has yet to speak to police is asked to call the MCU information line at 1-877-987-8477.
