FVRD soft-launches digital building permit application system

FRASER VALLEY — The Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) is bringing its building permit process into the modern age by trying out a new online application system.

Through the myFVRD portal, the District is soft-launching a process to gather user feedback on tracking review progress, submitting revisions, and receiving approved permits for applications submitted after October 17.

“This service update will affect property owners, builders, designers, and anyone else applying for a building permit within FVRD Electoral areas, Village of Harrison Hot Springs, or the Cultus Lake Park Board area,” said the FVRD in a release.

The trial period is expected to wrap up over the next several weeks.

Feedback on the system can be sent to building@fvrd.ca. More details on building permits can be found online through the FVRD website.
