RCMP investigating break and enter at Agassiz facility belonging to craft cannabis brand
AGASSIZ — A spokesperson for the Upper Fraser Valley RCMP has confirmed that police are investigating a commercial break and enter on Lougheed Highway west of Agassiz in which a stolen truck was used to break through the facility’s gates.
According to a statement from RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Alexandra Mulvihill, Mounties were notified at 3:27 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30 about an incident at Pistol and Paris, a family-owned, boutique-style craft cannabis brand with a facility on Lougheed Highway. Pistol and Paris describes itself as experts in BC bud due to over 20 years of experience in the cannabis space.
Sgt. Mulvihill says when police arrived, a 2006 Ford Ranger pickup was observed on scene still running with the keys in the ignition. Sgt. Mulvihill says it was later confirmed this vehicle had been stolen just prior to the break and enter. The truck was used to break through the gates of the facility.
“Currently, the truck is still awaiting our forensic identification team to look at it for any possible prints or DNA. As can be seen in the photos, all the suspects were wearing gloves and had some kind of face covering. It is possible that the male in all black may be recognizable to someone,” Sgt. Mulvihill said.
