Victim suffers serious burns from fire at Abbotsford RV park, airlifted
ABBOTSFORD – A fire broke out at an RV park on Fraser Highway in Abbotsford Monday night, leaving one person with burns that required them to be airlifted to hospital for treatment.
Abbotsford PD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker told Fraser Valley Today in a text message that an RV fire happened in the 29600 block of Fraser Highway. One person suffered burns, Sgt. Walker said.
AbbyPD officers attended the scene to assist Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service with traffic control, Sgt. Walker said.
BCEHS released an updated statement Tuesday morning: “BC Emergency Health Services received a call at 7:16 p.m. on March 2, 2026, about a vehicle fire in the 29600-block of Old Yale Road in Abbotsford. One ambulance with primary care paramedics, an ambulance with advanced care paramedics and a paramedic supervisor attended the scene. Paramedics provided emergency medical care to one patient who was transported in serious condition to an awaiting air ambulance with critical care paramedics for transport to hospital,” said BCEHS Paramedic Public Information Officer Brian Twaites.
