CHILLIWACK — Five people have been arrested after a stolen pickup truck led police on a cross-country chase from Chilliwack – all the way to Manning Park.

On September 19, at around 8:26 a.m., Chilliwack RCMP received a theft report on a 2025 Ford F-150 from a house on Ledgestone Place.

The truck was initially spotted in Logan Lake thanks to real-time tracking.

Police in Logan Lake, Merritt, Hope and Princeton each responded as the car moved along the Coquihalla at high speeds before heading eastbound on Highway 3, allegedly reaching speeds of up to 160 kilometres an hour while driving dangerously.

Air 1 and police dog units were then called to assist, and Hope RCMP found the vehicle near Manning Park as it moved toward Princeton.

The chase ended when officers stopped the vehicle at a Cango gas station and arrested all five occupants.

“This incident is a strong example of how coordinated policing across jurisdictions can lead to safe and effective outcomes,” said Supt. Darren Pankratz, officer in charge of the Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment.

“Thanks to the timely and effective assistance by multiple RCMP detachments and specialized units, we were able to bring a high-risk and challenging situation to a safe conclusion.”

The investigation remains ongoing.
