AbbyPD investigating targeted home invasion
ABBOTSFORD — Police in Abbotsford say they are investigating a home invasion that happened late Wednesday night in west Abbotsford.
According to a statement from AbbyPD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker, AbbyPD patrol officers responded to reports of a home invasion in the 27800 block of Myrtle Avenue on Wednesday evening, Sept. 3 at about 11:37 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a residence known to police had been forcibly entered by masked suspects who fled the scene before police arrived. The occupants were inside the home at the time but were not injured.
The investigation has been transitioned to the AbbyPD Major Crime Unit. While the motive remains under investigation, police believe that this was a targeted incident.
