Abbotsford Police seek witnesses after man arrested for lewd act near playground

ABBOTSFORD — Police in Abbotsford are appealing for any witnesses to come forward after a man was arrested for an indecent act near the playground at Highstreet in Abbotsford.

According to a social media post, AbbyPD patrol officers were dispatched for the report of a lewd act at approximately 12:02 p.m. Wednesday afternoon (Sept. 3). Responding officers quickly arrived on scene and arrested the male suspect.

Investigations are seeking anyone who was at the playground around the time of the incident to contact police. It is believed that several witnesses left the area before officers arrived.
