City of Mission seeks public feedback on Good Neighbour bylaw update
MISSION — Mission residents are asked to share their thoughts on a piece of legislation that encourages good relationships between neighbours.
Nearly a third of the almost 1,000 valid complaints received by bylaw officers last year were related to the Good Neighbour bylaw– which oversees disputes like light trespassing, noise regulation, demolition site management and more.
“For many years, we’ve been working to ensure that our Good Neighbour Bylaw is right for Mission, and that our enforcement team is the sized and equipped to address the issues that matter most to the people of Mission,” said Mayor Paul Horn.
“We know residents are concerned about things like encampments, disruptive behaviour on our streets, parking issues, and ensuring our team has the right hours and focus.”
