Thousands lose power in the Fraser Valley Wednesday morning
FRASER VALLEY — Thousands of residential customers are without power in the Fraser Valley Wednesday morning for unknown reasons.
While showers have been falling throughout the Fraser Valley Wednesday morning, it’s not clear why 1,289 customers in Langley and Abbotsford saw their electricity go out at 6:47 a.m. Wednesday morning. The affected area includes farming country north of Bradner and Mt. Lehman in northwest Abbotsford and parts of Langley.
Image: BC Hydro / Langley outage.But that wasn’t the extent of the power outages in the Fraser Valley. At 10:05 a.m., 2,130 customers in Langley and parts of Aldergrove lost power for an unknown reason. The cause is under investigation, according to BC Hydro’s website.
