A night of musical movie performances in store for Chiliwack residents

CHILLIWACK — If you love movies and you love music, you’re in for a treat this weekend thanks to the Chilliwack Arts & Cultural Centre Society. It’s hosting the Calgary Youth Orchestra for an evening of Cinema Classics on August 2 at 7:30 p.m..
Those attending can expect to hear the movie scores from The Godfather to Titanic and even Blazing Saddles. Under the direction of conductor, Edmond Agopian, the orchestra will spend the night performing a number of legendary film soundtracks that it promises will transport the audience through time and genres.
The Calgary Youth Orchestra is known as one of Canada’s top young orchestras and has launched the careers of many young Canadian musicians.
