5 in hospital after multi-vehicle incident on Highway 7 Saturday morning
PITT MEADOWS — Drivers have been lined up for nearly five kilometres out on a stretch of the Lougheed Highway after a Saturday morning (July 26) crash involving multiple cars.
Scanner traffic reported a motor vehicle incident near Pitt Meadows, on the westbound lane of Highway 7 and Meadows Garden Way shortly before 9:30 a.m. Five ambulances were paged out — one with advanced care paramedics and four with primary care paramedics, along with one supervisor vehicle.
A PHSA spokesperson told Fraser Valley Today that paramedics gave emergency treatment to seven patients at the scene.
A total of five patients were taken to hospital, two in serious condition and three are stable.
