Abbotsford Canucks announce three signings
ABBOTSFORD — The Abbotsford Canucks will have three familiar faces back in the fall as they prepare to defend their Calder Cup championship. The team has announced the signings of forwards Dino Kambeitz and Cooper Walker along with defenceman Joe Arntsen.
The 25-year-old Kambeitz scored a career high 10 goals last season, his fourth in the AHL. Walker is 23-years-old and has just completed his second season with the Canucks in the AHL. He was signed by the Canucks as an undrafted major junior free agent in 2023. Arntsen started his first pro season campaign with the Canucks’ ECHL affiliate Kalamazoo Wings last season. The 22-year-old was called up to Abbotsford in February and stayed with the team through the regular season and playoffs.
“We are excited to bring back some familiar faces for next season,” said General Manager Ryan Johnson. “Dino, Cooper and Joe each played an important role in securing our Calder Cup championship in 2025, and we expect them to continue making an impact here in Abbotsford.”
