CHILLIWACK — Two more businesses are set to open the first week of August at Cottonwood Centre mall in Chilliwack, joining a new café and protein bar that recently opened.

According to Mark Davis, general manager of Warrington PCI, the company entrusted with leasing space at the mall, Snore MD and Sunrise Records are expected to open the first week of August.

On its website, Sunrise Records says it is a proud Canadian record store chain that was founded in Toronto in 1977. It grew to become one of the five major record stores in Canada alongside HMV Canada, Music World, Sam the Record Man, and A&A Records. In October 2014, Sunrise Records expanded by opening new locations in Ontario, and would later acquire the leases for 70 HMV retail outlets and convert them to Sunrise Records stores. Sunrise Records has nine stores in British Columbia, 13 in Alberta, five in Saskatchewan, three in Manitoba, 28 in Ontario, 15 in Quebec and six in Atlantic Canada. In May, the company posted on Indeed.ca seeking part-time sales associates for its Chilliwack location with an hourly salary of $17.40/hour, though that has now increased to $17.85/hour since the minimum wage increased as of June 1, 2025.

Through its website, Snore MD says it combines the latest technology in medical equipment focused on obstructive sleep apnea solutions with over a quarter century of medical expertise. Its sleep clinics are staffed by medical professionals who value their patient’s health and well-being. The company says it takes great pride in providing our community with high quality, patient-centric care and health education to aid in snoring and apnea issues.

Although ownership of Cottonwood Centre mall has recently changed, Davis told Fraser Valley Today the mall will continue to focus on Chilliwack.

“We are also very excited to share that the new ownership of Cottonwood Centre is committed to building strong connections with the community,” Davis said in an email. “As part of this renewed vision, we look forward to fostering partnerships with local organizations and hosting inclusive, engaging events that reflect the needs and diversity of Cottonwood Centre.”

Cottonwood also recently welcomed E11even Cafe & Protein Bar, according to a Facebook post dated July 14.
