Traffic stop leads to driving ban for 60-year-old woman from Abbotsford
MISSION — Mounties in Mission say two witnesses were instrumental in getting an impaired female driver from Abbotsford off the road nearly two weeks ago.
According to a police blotter-style social media post, Mission RCMP say two witnesses reported seeing a possible impaired driver in a parking lot at Cedar Valley Connector and Lougheed Highway on Friday, July 11 at approximately 6:20 a.m. An officer located the vehicle nearby and pulled it over.
The 60-year-old female driver from Abbotsford and her two passengers were all observed to be in possession of illegal cigarettes. Police say a search of the vehicle located suspected methamphetamine, bear spray, axes and knives, drug paraphernalia, and a pellet gun.
The driver was issued a driving prohibition for being impaired by drugs.
