Pleas for forgiveness from suspected impaired commercial driver fall on deaf ears
ABBOTSFORD — A commercial truck driver has been dealt a 90-day driving prohibition after being caught behind the wheel while allegedly impaired by alcohol.
Abbotsford Police say the incident happened around 2 p.m. on July 12, when an alert citizen reported a suspected impaired driver operating a commercial vehicle on Lefeuvre Road.
Patrol officers quickly located the truck and determined the driver, a Class 1 commercial operator, was impaired.
Police say the driver asked the officer to “please let me go and just forget about this.”
