Early morning fire impacts two homes in Mission
MISSION — Ten people are out of their homes as a result of a fire overnight in Hatzic. Mission Fire Rescue says it was called to a home on Catchpole Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday (Jul. 15). They arrived to find a house fully engulfed in flames. In addition, the fire had spread to a neighbouring home.
Fire crews were able to enter the neighbouring home and quickly attacked the fire that was spreading through the attic and roof, saving the house. “Quick action by the crews saved in excess of $1 million in property as the adjacent house will be repaired,” said Chief Mark Goddard.
