Police investigating after woman alleges she was followed on a Langley-area walking trail

LANGLEY — Mounties in Langley are investigating a suspicious incident in which a woman reported being followed over the weekend while walking her dogs on a trail near 216 Street in Langley.

According to a statement from Langley RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Zynal Sharoom, frontline officers were dispatched Saturday morning, July 12 after a woman believed she was being tracked and followed as she walked her dogs on the East Munday Creek Trail, located in the 9000 block of 216 Street in Langley.

Police say the woman alleged that a man had been following her. Front-line officers responded immediately and conducted extensive patrols of the area; neither the woman nor the individual she had described to bystanders were located, Sgt. Sharoom said.
