DELTA, B.C. — Police are appealing for witnesses and any dashcam video after a collision between a motorcyclist and an SUV in Delta Saturday morning.

According to a statement from BCHP spokesperson Corporal Michael McLaughlin, police are appealing to the public for more information, including witnesses and dashcam video, to determine exactly what transpired on Highway 17.

On Saturday morning, July 12, at about 11:15 a.m., a black Harley Davidson motorcycle collided with a dark green Toyota SUV on Highway 17 and Tsawwassen Drive in Delta. A second SUV, a grey Honda, was damaged by debris from the initial collision.

“The minutes leading up to the collision, and the moments before the collision, are crucially important to the investigation,” says Corporal Michael McLaughlin with BC Highway Patrol. “If you were in the area and saw these vehicles, or have dash camera footage, you could really help police by sharing what you saw.”
