Langley RCMP investigating overnight fire at home under construction
LANGLEY — Mounties in Langley are investigating an overnight structure fire at a home under construction.
According to a statement from RCMP Sgt. Zynal Sharoom, Langley RCMP responded to a report of a structure fire in the 19600 block of 48 Avenue in Langley at approximately 12:25 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9.
Once they arrived, front-line officers found a home fully engulfed in flames. The residence was unoccupied at the time, as it was still under construction.
“We are working closely with the Langley City Fire Rescue Service to determine the cause of this fire,” Sgt. Sharoom said. “We appreciate the public’s patience, as there may be on going traffic disruptions in the area while the investigation continues.”
