Mission hospital receives $10K donation for new OBGYN stretcher
MISSION — A hospital in Mission has received a new vital piece of equipment for patients experiencing gynecological emergencies – thanks to a generous investment from the Mission Community Foundation.
The foundation has donated $10,000 to help purchase a much-needed OBGYN stretcher for Mission Memorial Hospital’s emergency department.
“The OB/Gyn stretcher […] ensures that women receive timely, specialized, and comfortable care during emergencies, ultimately improving patient outcomes and satisfaction,” stated Megan Emberson, ED LPN educator. “Also having a second OB/Gyn stretcher will allow us to treat more than one gynecological emergency within the same time period.”
Funding was made in part through the support of the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation (FVHCF). The FVCHF and Mission Community Foundation are both committed to supporting healthcare services and ensuring patients receive the best care in their respective areas.
