Agassiz-area gallery hosts First Nations Beadathon for National Indigenous Peoples Day
AGASSIZ — An art gallery nestled between Agassiz and Hope is celebrating the colourful tapestry of Indigenous traditions with its upcoming First Nations Beadathon.
On June 21, guests are invited to the Ruby Creek Art Gallery to watch more than a dozen First Nations beaders at work, shop for beaded items, and grab a light lunch from local caterer Trena in the Kitchen.

“We are excited to host our First Nations Beadathon on National Indigenous Peoples Day as a way to celebrate beading and the many First Nations beaders in the Fraser Valley”, noted Sharron Young, managing director of Skawahlook First Nation.
