CHILLIWACK — East Point Reef Club, a new attraction in Bridal Falls, announced on social media Thursday that it will open some of its facilities to the public this weekend.

The upstart venue at 53790 Popkum Road in Popkum will officially open its eatery, surf supply and general store starting this Saturday, June 14. The water park and surf pool, however, aren’t yet ready.

“We’re beyond excited to kick things off at East Point Reef Club, right here at Bridal Falls Water Park! While the water park and surf pool are still in the works (stay tuned!), our retail shop and food stand are open and ready for YOU,” the company wrote on its Facebook page.

The surf supply will feature merch and gear from brands like Rip Curl, Reef, VSSL and Sun Burn.

The eatery features a walk-up kitchen offering tacos, loaded Mexi-fries, cheeseburgers, burrito bowls and crispy tenders.

“Made so fresh. Made with good vibes. Made to chill,” the company teased on Facebook.

There’s an outdoor area where people can chill out by an outdoor fire pit.

“Bonus: Relax on our patio and kick back by the outdoor bonfires — we’ve created the perfect little hangout while we finish building out the full experience,” EPRC wrote. “Come see what we’ve been up to — this is just the beginning!”

Tentative hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Back in April, the company posted on its Facebook page that it had been seeking food and beverage supervisors, line cooks and kitchen staff.

“Whether you’re a seasoned Line Cook, a prep pro, or a fast-paced Food Expeditor — we’ve got a spot for you,” the company advertised on social media, touting its competitive wages, staff discounts, team vibes and “room to grow.”

Seasonal, full-time and part-time positions were available at the time of the social media post on April 17.

“We’re serving up healthy, high-quality food in a fast-paced surf, spa & adventure setting — and we need passionate team players who can bring the energy and help us deliver a top-notch guest experience,” the company said.
