Hope hospital receives donation of five new IV pumps
HOPE — A hospital in the District of Hope now has more tools to deliver better patient care, thanks to a donation by the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation (FVHCF).
Fraser Canyon Hospital has received five new infusion, or IV, pumps. The device helps circulate fluids, medication, or nutrients into a person’s body by delivering a specific amount of its contents every hour—a task that can be time-consuming and unsustainable when done by hand.
“We are grateful for the support of the FVHCF,” said Kristy Olive, general operations coordinator for Chilliwack General and Fraser Canyon. “Their commitment to improving local healthcare is evident in their continued support of our hospital and our patients. These IV pumps will help us to provide the best possible care to our patients and improve the efficiency of our healthcare teams.”
The hospital offers 24/7 urgent stabilization and care, general medicine and ambulance services, as well as a network of community programs that range from health awareness to long-term care.
