Body of missing Merritt man found: family
MERRITT — The body of a Merritt man who is believed to be the victim of a homicide has been found more than two years after he went missing.
Miguel Mack’s brother Elijah made the announcement in a post to social media late Monday (June 2) night.
“This is not the outcome any of us had hoped for,” Elijah said. “We want to thank everyone who shared information, searched, prayed, and supported our family during this heartbreaking time. Your kindness and care meant so much to us. Please keep our family in your thoughts as we navigate this unimaginable loss.”
Miguel Mack was 24 years old at the time he went missing on Feb. 27, 2023. In an update one year later, the BC RCMP’s Southeast District Major Crime Unit unveiled its investigation determined the disappearance of Mack was due to foul play, and he was the victim of a homicide.
