ABBOTSFORD — Abbotsford is looking to turn out for Canada’s 158th birthday with a schedule packed full of community-based fun at Exhibition Park.

The City of Abbotsford, in partnership with Tourism Abbotsford, will be featuring a new site layout with increased pedestrian access on the east and west sides of the park, as well as expanded activities throughout the whole day on July 1. New experiences include:

  • A S.T.E.M zone featuring exhibits from the Abbotsford International Airshow, Gearbots and HR MacMillan Space Centre;
  • Wheelchair sports;
  • An expanded AgriZone; and,
  • A marketplace showcasing local artists and producers.

Festivities kick off at 11 a.m. with a “Lights, Camera, Canada Day!” themed annual parade down South Fraser Way. Afterwards, visitors are invited to enjoy a range of activities from hayrides and mini golf to sensory-friendly spaces and a slide and sand zone. The day ends with fireworks at dusk, weather permitting, from a new location within the ball diamonds.
