
Chilliwack firefighters extinguish truck fire at Coast Hotel
CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack firefighters were dispatched just before 10 a.m. Wednesday morning after a work truck erupted in flames in the parking lot of a local hotel.
According to scanner traffic, Chilliwack Fire Department crews were dispatched at 9:53 a.m. Wednesday (May 14) for a truck on fire at 45920 First Avenue, the parking lot of the Coast Hotel.
Firefighters told dispatch the fire was located within the engine compartment of a work truck, which had been towing a trailer behind it. Fire crews radioed dispatch at 10 a.m. to tell them the fire had been struck, and overhaul was underway.
