Chilliwack café hopes to open this month at sleek new commercial building

CHILLIWACK — A new café plans to open soon in a sleek new contemporary commercial building on Hocking Avenue in Chilliwack.

Fivenotes Coffee at 45890 Hocking Avenue wrote on social media this past week that its grand opening isn’t too far away. Construction on its current suite began in February 2025.

“We are coming soon with the opening date. We will have in-house cold brew, nitro cold brew, and favoured cold brew for the summer menu. Stay tuned!”

While it may not have instant name recognition like Blenz or Waves Coffee, the coffee company touted its independence in a social media post.

“Being an independent local spot means the world to us,” Fivenotes Coffee said. “We love supporting our community and bringing a little slice of joy to Chilliwack. It’s all about those good vibes, great coffee, and delicious treats that make your day a little brighter. So mark your calendar and get ready for some tasty goodies! We’ll have everything from classic pastries to some fun seasonal specials. Can’t wait to see your smiling face when you drop by starting May!”

The café will also sell homemade sandwiches as part of its menu. It says everything offered at Fivenotes Coffee will be made in-house “with love.”

Fivenotes Coffee will be located in suite 101 of the new Benchmark building. Cascade Physiotherapy will occupy suite 102. The building will feature anchor tenants like Hub International (suite 202), Zacharias Vickers McCann LLP (suite 301) and KPMG (suite 302).
