Annual Run for Mom event returns in Chilliwack for Mother’s Day

CHILLIWACK — The 25th annual Run for Mom is back to raise funds for the Chilliwack General Hospital.
Proceeds will go directly to a meaningful art project in the Hospital’s maternity ward– Cheam First Nation Indigenous artist Carrielynn Victor is set to create a series of birthing-themed murals offering warmth and vibrancy to new family members.
“We’re thrilled to combine health, art, and community in this year’s Run for Mom,” said Liz Harris, executive director for the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation (FVHCF). “Carrielynn’s work will create a lasting legacy that celebrates motherhood, culture, and new beginnings.”
Victor’s upcoming work at the Hospital will honour “deep connections to land, water and motherhood”.
