CHILLIWACK — A downtown Chilliwack café appears poised to open its doors to the public this week under new management.

Harvest Store + Café plans to welcome customers back to its store at 9343 Mill Street with a soft opening on Friday, May 9 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The cozy storefront will have limited selections during its soft opening. It had been closed for renovations but has been working to usher in a cozy, rustic café atmosphere.

Once its full menu is up and running, the downtown café will feature house coffee ($4.50), espresso ($3.50), pour over ($5.50) and lattes ($5.50), as well as organic tea, kombucha, fresh lemonade and iced tea.

Its breakfast menu consists of harvest waffles, a Belgian-style waffle with maple syrup, whipped cream and seasonal fruit; a savory waffle topped with free-range eggs, bacon, aged cheddar and herbs; a granola bowl offering house-made granola, organic yogurt, local honey and fresh berries; and avocado toast featuring smashed avocado atop sourdough.

Their lunch menu will offer sandwiches like turkey club, grilled cheese, chicken wraps and garden wraps. Their salads consist of harvest bowls, garden salads, chicken caesar and grain bowls. They plan to offer three types of soups.
