Two ambulances responded and attended to two occupants of the vehicle. The extent of their injuries is not immediately known.

The battery to the vehicle was disconnected, firefighters told dispatch. RCMP were asked to attend due to a tow truck being required.

The cause of the vehicle crash is not immediately known. Roads were slick from the rain.

A longtime Chilliwack resident who drove by the accident scene said the location of the crash has had multiple accidents over the years, as motorists sometimes use the road parallel to the highway as a way to avoid police on Highway 1.

The air bags in the vehicle appear to have been deployed. Yellow caution tape had been strung across the vehicle.
