District of Hope announces 2025 by-election candidates

HOPE — Four residents have now declared their intention to run for the vacant Councillor seat in the District of Hope.

The District made the announcement on Friday, March 21, listing the four candidates as follows:

• Michael Bowcott
• Nate Brown
• Magnus Dubeau
• Bonny Graham

The position opened following the resignation of Councillor Zachary Wells. The upcoming by-election will fill the remainder of his four-year term, which ends in October 2026.

Campaigns are set to start on March 29. The general voting day is April 26 at the District of Hope Municipal Office, 325 Wallace Street, but residents can vote in advance on April 16 and 23.
