CHILLIWACK — The Chilliwack Chiefs clinched first place in the B.C. Hockey League’s Coastal Conference with a dominant 8-2 win in Victoria Tuesday.

Chiefs captain and Colorado College commit Mateo Mrsic led the way with a goal and three assists. Goaltender Quentin Miller, a Montreal Canadiens draft pick, made 37 saves on 39 shots to backstop the victory.

Chilliwack followed up the win with a lopsided 8 – 3 win in Cowichan Valley Wednesday night. Brady Milburn and Nathan Morin each scored twice in the win.

The Chiefs host the Prince George Spruce Kings Saturday. It is the club’s annual Indigenous Night presented by Kwaw-Kwaw-Apilt First Nation.
