
Violent break and enter suspect charged in Fraser Valley incidents (VIDEO)
SOUTH SURREY — Surrey Police Service officers say a 38-year-old male has been charged with multiple Criminal Code offences in connection with a series of what police describe as violent break and enters and assaults that happened in South Surrey earlier this week.
According to a statement from SPS, RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit members were dispatched to the area of King George Blvd. and 160 Street Wednesday morning, Feb. 26 at 1:30 a.m. for the report of a male suspect who broke into several homes and assaulted people. SPOSU members attended, located a suspect and arrested him. B.C. Emergency Health Services paramedics responded likewise and treated two people on scene for minor injuries.
That male suspect, David William Charles Hoffman, has been charged with:
- Two counts of break and enter
- One count of assault
- Two counts of mischief under $5,000
- One count of failing to comply with a release order
