Fraser Valley farm frustrated with theft of golf cart that provided a senior with freedom, independence
FRASER VALLEY — A farm in the Fraser Valley has been left reeling after someone inexplicably stole a golf cart from a carport on the farm’s property last week, leaving a senior without vital transportation around the farm.
The farm in question, Aldor Acres, is located east of Fort Langley. Open year-round for seasonal events, it houses a fall pumpkin patch and seasonal market with fresh picked corn, u-pick sunflowers, pumpkins, farm sausages, local artisan products, and farm animals. December welcomes Christmas trees & Christmas market, farm animals, marshmallows and hot chocolate around the campfire.
According to a social media post, Aldor Acres says the theft occurred last Wednesday evening (Feb. 12), depriving the family’s grandma, Dorothy, of her sense of freedom and a valued component of her independence. The farm issued an earnest plea to the individuals responsible for the theft.
