Abandoned fifth wheel torched in the Chilliwack River Valley, cutting telecom services to Post Creek residents
CHILLIWACK — A Chilliwack cleanup volunteer says an abandoned fifth wheel in the Chilliwack River Valley was intentionally burned Sunday, leaving residents and businesses east of Slesse Creek without internet and phone for roughly 24 hours.
In an email to the B.C. government and Chilliwack RCMP Monday night (Feb. 10), Chilliwack resident Ross Aikenhead says an abandoned fifth wheel just west of Slesse Creek was set on fire. Its GPS coordinates are 49.07680, -121.71330.

He says he’s tried to alert the province through the Report All Poachers and Polluters (1-877-852-RAPP) hotline, as well as the RCMP several times, but to no avail.
