Downtown Chilliwack boutique clothing store set to close after 24 years in business

CHILLIWACK — Lolly’s Fashion Lounge, a women’s boutique clothing store offering elegant and classy fashion for over two decades in Chilliwack, announced Thursday (Jan. 9) that it will be closing its doors for good.

According to an online statement posted Thursday, owner Lois Chadburn says the store’s pending closure comes with a host of competing sentiments.

“It is with mixed emotions we announce that Lolly’s Fashion Lounge is closing its doors after 24 wonderful years,” the statement read. “It’s been an incredible journey, and we’re deeply grateful for the support and connection we’ve shared with our amazing customers. Reflecting on these past two decades fills us with gratitude. Lolly’s has always been more than just a boutique—it’s been a community. You, our cherished customers, have been at the heart of it all. The connections we’ve built, the laughter we’ve shared, and the joy of dressing you for life’s milestones have made this experience truly meaningful.”

The store, located at 45891 Wellington Avenue, says it was founded with a passion for creating unforgettable fashion experiences and has been consistently establishing trends and redefining its own unique style.

“Our journey began over 20 years ago, driven by a commitment to providing a haven where you can explore and embrace your distinct tastes. We believe that fashion is a powerful form of self-expression, we love getting to know you and building trust in your style aspirations,” Lolly’s wrote on its website.

Lolly’s prided itself on carefully handpicking each item to maintain quality, uniqueness and a touch of glamour in every piece, the small business wrote on its website.

The store says it’s not sure how long it will take to essentially reduce its catalog of clothing before it turns out the lights for good, but invites its loyal customers to come experience the store one last time.
