Woman dies after being struck by train in Chilliwack

CHILLIWACK — A woman was struck and killed by a train early Friday morning near the Yale Road Overpass and McIntosh Drive in Chilliwack.
Chilliwack RCMP say officers responded to the scene at approximately 3:19 a.m. after receiving a report of the collision. Upon arrival, officers found a deceased female in the area. Authorities have not yet identified the victim.
Mounties say the incident does not appear to be suspicious, though an investigation is ongoing.
The RCMP is conducting the investigation in partnership with the BC Coroners Service.
