Heavy snow expected on Coquihalla Wednesday

CHILLIWACK — Environment Canada issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Coquihalla Highway for Wednesday (Dec. 18), suggesting up to 30 cm of snow could fall before the day is out.
It says a system is delivering heavy snow through B.C.’s southern interior region Wednesday as it crosses the province. It says gusty winds are associated with the system which could lead to near-zero visibility for motorists.
Along with the snow, Environment Canada says there is a risk of freezing rain expected before the departure of the storm.
