VANCOUVER – Approximately 1,100 BC Hydro customers were without power for several hours on Friday and Saturday in an area northwest of Agassiz.
A BC Hydro spokesperson stated that the outage occurred north of the Lougheed Highway and Harrison Mills, prompting crews to work on restoring power since Friday afternoon.
“We received a report of damaged equipment in the area that required repairs, meaning this was not a planned outage,” said Mora Scott, a spokesperson for BC Hydro, in an email.
Power was restored by approximately 6 p.m. on Saturday, according to Scott.
