Abbotsford PD seeks dashcam footage in ‘targeted’ incident of shots fired at a truck

ABBOTSFORD — Police in Abbotsford have launched an investigation after a resident told police their truck that was parked in front of their residence had been struck by several bullets last week.

According to a statement from Sgt. Paul Walker, AbbyPD patrol officers were dispatched on on Tuesday, October 29 for the report of an overnight shooting in the 3700 block of Harwood Crescent. Sgt. Walker says shortly after 10 a.m., a resident in the area reported the incident to police. No one was injured in the shooting.

Sgt. Walker says the Abbotsford PD’s Major Crime Unit is currently investigating. Police believe this was a targeted incident. Investigators are seeking witnesses and dashcam footage from those who may have been travelling along Gladwin Road from Maclure Road to Downes Road and along the 3700 block of Harwood Crescent between 11 p.m. on Monday, October 28 and 1 a.m. on October 29.
