Survey period for Abbotsford’s latest ‘Quality of Life’ study coming to a close
ABBOTSFORD – Just days remain for Abbotsford residents to weigh in on the city’s fourth Quality of Life Survey, which seeks to measure the community’s general satisfaction.
The examination, which happens biannually, was launched Oct. 10 with a mandate to gather data on happiness and potential barriers connected with the city’s facilities, amenities, and programs.
In 2022, a random sample of over 500 people revealed a “feeling of belonging in the community” had diminished somewhat over two years, with 59 percent of respondents in 2022 reporting a ‘strong’ or ‘somewhat strong’ connection, compared to 52 percent previously.
Seniors and youth programs, as well as the maintenance of the city’s parks and trails, were identified as the three most important amenities.
