Langley RCMP says search for missing woman still active, ground search by SAR has concluded for now
HARRISON – Langley RCMP spokesperson Corporal Craig van Herk says the ground search for missing woman Jane Whitehouse has wrapped up in the Harrison area for now, but the investigation remains active.
“The ground search in that area by SAR has concluded. We do seek new tips and info to follow up on but we are very much still looking for Mrs. Whitehouse. Our investigation is still very much ongoing and active… We aren’t done! We are very much still following up on every bit of information, tips and video we receive. We continue to call on the public to assist as we are hopeful someone has seen her or has information that can help.”
A Facebook group named “Missing: Jane Whitehouse” said Wednesday night that the ground search at East Harrison Forest Service Road and the surrounding area has been been suspended, but the investigation remains active. There are plans for SAR crews to resume their search activities at some point.
“Family Update: The search at East Harrison Lake Forest Service Road has been suspended. The area has been combed for 3 days with no results,” the Facebook group said. “The investigation is still very much active but we need more tips and leads to work with. We are still hopeful and grateful for everyone’s compassion and concern. Any information, sightings, videos/images, no matter how insignificant they seem, would be appreciated.”
