New person of interest sought in Mission Superstore arson
MISSION — Mounties in Mission have released a photo of a woman who was in the Real Canadian Superstore around the time of a fire last week that shut down the supermarket for several days.
According to a news release from police, Mission RCMP is appealing to the public for help in naming this woman who may have more information about the arson last Tuesday evening, October 22.
After a fire was intentionally set at the Real Canadian Superstore in Mission on October 22, Mission RCMP released a photo of a man they wanted to speak with in relation to the fire. That man came forward and provided information that helped advance the investigation. Police now say he is not considered a suspect in the arson.
Mission RCMP is now petiting the public for similar assistance in identifying a female customer that was in the store at the time of the fire. Based on its investigation, police suspect this woman may have additional key information that could assist with advancing the investigation.
