CHILLIWACK — Plans are underway to stage a 15-minute fireworks show in Yarrow Friday night.

According to a social media post from Christopher Epp, the fireworks show starts promptly at 8 p.m. near Lumsden Road and the Southern Railway tracks, located north of Yarrow Mountain Road.

Epp says tomorrow’s fireworks show mirrors one held the last couple years in Yarrow.

“Good afternoon fellow Yarrowites! It’s that time of year again,” Epp wrote on Facebook. “The same event as last year will be having a small fireworks show Oct 25th at 8 p.m.. The show will have a maximum length of 15 minutes. This is by the train tracks, the same event that has happened the last couple of years. This is a permitted event, done by licensed people fully insured. Have a safe and fantastic Halloween!”

In response to a question from a Facebook commenter, Epp says this year’s show will be smaller and simpler than last year.

“We were hoping to get a little more intricate and make it a pyromusical to music, but just can’t do it this year, sorry!” Epp said.

Environment Canada is forecasting rain Friday night, but hasn’t released an hourly forecast as of Thursday morning. The show appears to be a rain-or-shine kind of event.
