HOPE — The Hope Bottle Depot will close its doors this week at its current location on 6th Avenue and make the move to a new facility around the corner.

Mickey Ho, director of communications and stakeholder relations for Return-It based in Burnaby, confirmed to Fraser Valley Today in an email Thursday that the Hope Bottle Depot will close Friday, July 19 at 930A 6th Avenue.

The collection facility is expected to reopen Tuesday, July 30 at 517 Corbett Street, about a 500-metre drive around the corner.

Before it reopens in the new location, Hope Bottle Depot will need gas hook-ups, a occupancy permit from the District of Hope, and parking lot paving at the new facility.

Hope Bottle Depot is open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The new facility will have updated hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its new Corbett Street location.

The Sardis Bottle Depot in Chilliwack relocated to a newer, more modern location at 7592 Vedder Road, next to Canada Post, in August 2023, leaving behind its old facility next to the Save-On-Foods in Garrison.
