CHILLIWACK – Two men wanted on criminal warrants in Ontario were apprehended by Chilliwack RCMP and Prince George RCMP officers, respectively, through a collaborative effort involving multiple law enforcement agencies.

The BC RCMP Fugitive Return Program, in partnership with the Ontario Provincial Police and the Ministry of the Attorney General (Ontario), extended the Ontario warrants to British Columbia. Working closely with the Chilliwack RCMP and Prince George RCMP detachments, as well as the BC Prosecution Service and the BC Sheriff Service, the men were successfully arrested and transported back to Ontario to face their charges.

Jeffrey Mills, 52, was arrested by Chilliwack RCMP officers. Mills is facing charges of possession of a firearm or ammunition and possession of prohibited or restricted firearms.

Jordan Cole, 26, was apprehended by Prince George RCMP officers. Cole faces numerous charges, including possession of stolen property and various firearms offenses.

Both offenders were held in custody and returned to Ontario on July 4, 2024. The Ontario Provincial Police Aviation Services facilitated their escort back to Ontario. The charges against Mills and Cole are unrelated.

“We are appreciative of the collaboration and efforts involved to apprehend and inter-provincially return these two offenders to face their charges,” said Cpl. Donna Spyrka, BC Fugitive Return Program Coordinator for the BC RCMP. “The arrest of these two men was a result of great teamwork amongst multiple agencies.”
